Good news!

thankyouIf I danced, I would break into a soft-shoe routine, a la “Singin’ in the Rain.” Or maybe I’d just wail away on a vuvuzela.

I’ve raised more than $10,000!

(Commence the vuvuzela fanfare)

What does that mean?

That means I can return to Kenya and even spend three months immersed in intensive Kiswahili language training. As much as I question, fume and allow impatience to have free rein: God. Is. Good.

Consider this inadequate little note as a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped me get to the this point. Seriously.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Good news indeed. But there is a catch.

I still need to raise about $1,400 per month before I can board the plane and stay in Kenya for two and a half years as a writer with Africa Inland Mission’s On Field Media team. My target departure? The end of September. Eek! That date is fast approaching.
