It’s been a long time since I’ve had to roll out of bed, pull on base layers, heavy coveralls, hat, gloves, boots and head out to feed 250 sheep.
Make that 250 sheep, 100 lambs, 50 young ewes, 10 feeder lambs, six cats, one Great Pyrenees guard dog (Bruno) and one guard donkey (Sarah).
“We Bought a Zoo,” huh? Yeah, tell me about it.
Since I finished full-time work last summer to focus on raising support to move to Kenya, I’ve done some freelance writing and other odds and ends. In December, I went back to basics.
I went back to the farm.
So, stay tuned. Upcoming posts will feature stories, photos and observations – I’ll even introduce you to some of the characters like Little One.
